Just a simple scipture this morning from Luke 11:27-28:
Luke 11:27-28 (NRSV)
True Blessedness
27 While he was saying this, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, "Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that nursed you!" 28 But he said, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!"
Verse 28 refers to Jesus speaking.
Many of us this week have been so busy as to where we have not even been able to hear God speak to us. Many of us who have heard God speak, have not done as He has commanded. Many of us have heard, and have done what was commanded.
Which one are you?
Heavenly Father,
Let us be still and hear Your voice. For those of us who are unable to be still, for whatever reason, may Your voice be loud and obvious to our ears. May we take note, and may be respond in positive action, to doing Your commands.
Forgive us for hearing and not doing. May we change for the betterment of Your Kingdom, and be in Your will.
In Jesus name we ask and claim these things, Amen!!
