sight mount for Wheterby PA-08

Won a Whetherby PA-08 at a WTF banquet and want to mount a holographic sight.  Can't find any information on that. Local gunsmith says metal it too thin to tap.  Has anyone run across this problem and were you able to overcome?   Thanks, nbffan

Aimtech makes a picitany rail that mounts to the rail. My weatherby sa08 also accepts a bsquare beretta 390 mount.
