Hi guys first off I hope that im posting this question in the right forum. I have a new Mossberg 535 with a 22 inch barrell 12 gauge. I shot the gun with the factory fiber optic sights and it shot about 5-6 inches high of my point of aim, thats the reason for buying these sights. I was wondering where I should place the sights on the rib and also what size is the rib width? I have one last question, I noticed while I was shooting the gun that I got some pretty bad cheek slap! so my question is do you think these sights being a little higher may help with this problem?? THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP!!!!

I would mount the front sight against the existing front bead and the rear sight 15" to the rear of that one.

Cheek slap is pretty common with that gun and that short barrel. A neoprene sleeve slipped over the comb will help, as will 3" shells as opposed to 3.5" shells and it's also possible to add some weight to the stock.

I have one of those guns with the 22" and 28" barrels and with the 28" barrel the slap is greatly reduced.

Thanks,
Clark

P.S. I've found the Truglo Pro-Series sights to work very well on that gun.

Couldn't just tell the guy how to mount the sights without pushing a sponsor's product could ya, Clarke!?

You'll love the durability and brightness of the Williams. Great choice of sight! Goodluck zeroing the gun!
