I'm stumped and need some advice. I hunt a piece of land that has 2 small bushes surrounded by corn. Every year up till this one it has been a regular occurance to see the birds In the fields. This year not at all. There's 4 or 5 toms each year and usually I get the know the birds by name. This year they won't come out of the bush??? Why? This morning I had a tom come off the roost and almost made it to the field but turned and went back in. Any advice on what to do besides get in the bush. This is an issue becuase it is open and sppoking them off the roost is a issue. These are eastern birds btw

When you say "bush" are you talking about woods/forest? If you are, then that is where I would be. As far as scaring them off the roost, then get in there early. Dark early. If thick brush is what bothers you then put in a more open choke and get ready.
