Got 870 SM with 24 barrel and 870 M with 18 barrel. I'm not getting a good pattern with the stock Rem Super Full Turkey.  WHat chokes should I go with for these 2 guns.

Why do you wanna change if your getting good patterns? I have had the best patterns from a jellyhead .660. in my 870's . I.C kicks and som toy are also good.

There are a lot of options for an 870.  This could be a long thread.

Indian Creek .665 is one option.  There are several good ones.

Someone has said that with the short barrel I need a tighter choke and with the longer one a more open choke.  So how tight do I need to go on the short barrel and how open on the longer one.  I don't want to go and buy a bunch of chokes to figure out which one does best...don't have that kind of cash laying around...

What type of shells are you planning to use?

I average about 95 in a 10" circle at 40 yards out of my 18" 870 shooting 3" federal turkey thugs #6 with a jellyhead .660

.655 kicks or .655 ventilator..shoot winchester Pb 6's if you don't want to break the bank..or hevi 3/2/7's. I am shooting these two chokes with great results out of 870's with 21",26",and 28" bbl's
