Not really far, a couple hours drive but HUGE change in scenery and turkey numbers.  I'll be out of cell phone range too, so no Old Gobbler for three days.  Seven of us in all on a family turkey hunt.  Best of luck to you all and I will check back in on Monday. Hopefully with a bird good enough to raise my score!

Just got back from the hunt.  Weather was horrible, freezing the first day, 40 mph winds the next.  Almost 70 this morning of course after we packed to leave and birds were finally fired up and moving.  Oh well, that's turkey hunting.  Seven hunters and only one bird harvested.  Hope y'all have better luck!

That's too bad the weather didn't work with you a little better. Our season starts here in two days and with the nights dropping below freezing it's going to be tough. Birds are working around a bit so we are going to give it a try.
