Dont  know  how  precise this  weight is coming  from  a postal scale.  I  did  get  a  .1 oz  reading
from the coffee filter by  itself.     so,  I  guess ,   1.9 oz is a close approximation of the  shot  load.
stated  as  1 7/8 oz.   Should  be convincing enough to say Nitro is fairly  accurate with the stated
shot  load.

Put the filter on the scale alone and then hit zero.  Then add shot to get weight of just the shot.  Thanks!

What matters is getting what u pay for and that's the bottom line. A friend and I have had some run around with this matter also and Im done with nitro shells and all my hunting buddies also. Bought 50 megas in 12 gauge last year and they are putting up bad counts. These shell have been shot out of the same gun that was proven with megas out of a different batch. Consistency isn't there in my opion. And when u pay 7 bucks or more a shell I don't think you should have to constaly check quality.

I'm not a Nitro user because of the cost, and the shipping.  They are very expensive to shoot.
I have HTL that I bought back when it was $4 + tax per shell.  When it went to $6 per shell, I abandoned ship.  Lead is looking good to me these days.

Those will be easy to trade or sell.
