Well, I made it to the range this weekend with my SBEII, a few chokes, and the thugs. Nothing amazing happened, but the end resut was decent. I was going to post pictures of the patterns, but somehow lost them between the range, my buddies house, and my house. I laser ranged the yardage at 42 yards from the front of the bench to the pattern board, and 40 yards from the board to the front of the bench. Weird, but I got the same readings several times. Temperature was around 45 degrees, with a breeze blowing. Anyway, here are the numbers' based on 3 shot everges. Turkey thugs 3.5in 2oz 6s.

Carlsons dead coyote choke.   88

Wrights No. 3(.650).             101

Indian Creek (.665).             133

The Indian creek pattern had a few golf ball sized holes, and had a decent amount in the 20. That's the best lead pattern I've ever shot. I'd hunt it, but it's not quite what I was hoping for!

That will kill every turkey in the woods.  $1 shell too.

Not really ideal conditions.

Yeah, I'm going to shoot again when it warns up. It's back in the 30s for a few days now. Supposed to be in the 60s this weekend. I have some hevishot 5s I want to shoot gain when it gets warmer as well. Another trip to the range is definitely in order!

Try one of the 3"1-7/8-6s i think it might suprise ya.I've been doing alot of testing lately with my benelli and i'm only averaging a few more in the ten with the ww3-2-6 than with the 3-1-7/8-6 thugs.Just mite be that the skinny bores like the 1-7/8 in lead better than the 2ounce load.Going to do some more patterning saturday with a slightly tighter choke and see.But those are dead turkey numbers for sure!thanks for the info.....ward
