loose speed bead..help!

hey guys! after waiting 2 weeks my speed bead for maxus mount finally arrived! now when i go to mount it i can wiggle it back and forth very easy (the metal ring that attached to the base is loose)..any way to fix this or did i get a bad one? please help! i leave for a trip tomorrow and need this to work!

Make sure that wedge screw is tight.

i tried the wedge screw..but it i make it any tighter it drops the red dot super low and nowhere near the bead...i called burris and they think i have a bad mount...they are taking care of me! great customer service!
