Hello, as the opening line states I'm Andy and am quickly becoming a turkey addict. I hail from the big city of Birchwood, Tennessee and currently this is my first hunt ever in my life at the age of 29. I've only shot one skunk, and that was because he sprayed outside my house every day. I will be using my great uncles Savage Stevens 220 single shot 20 gauge. Down here opening day is Saturday and am going to get out there and hopefully get me one. I know its easier said than done. To date I've been following two groups of turkeys with around 40-50 turkeys in each one. I've noticed that they are beginning to break up becuase for the first time today I had a small group of 4-5 toms and jakes I have seen making their morning pass while I was driving to work. I slowed down and took a look and since I had been working on my diaphram call called out just to see how they would react. Two of the gobblers went into strutting mode in the field 40-50 yds away. I'll update if I do by chance get a ol' tom during the season. This has been a great sight to read and get information from the start of the hunt all the way to the end. ANDY
