Such a Glorious Day ! The Lord Has Risen from the Grave making the way for every Believer at the end of this life's journey. BUT BE FORE WARNED......only a Fool would reject the opportunity to join Christ in the portals of Heaven, such an irony that on the day many know as April Fools day we are celebrating the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth .....
Mark 16:1-7 "And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you."
Over the years of my Ministry this is the time when most churches were filled to the brim, those "HOC" folks would come in droves, dressed to the hilt...."Holiday Only Christians" ... some would say to me, "Does it bother you that we only come on Christmas or Easter?" and always I would look at them with a smile and say, "It would bother me more if you didn't!" It doesn't take long to realize that any churchin' at all is a whole lot better then none at all...and that is what I want to share with you all this morning.
Psalm 14 - 1..." The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." If you believe this, I pray when it is your time to leave this world, you are right, BUT I know that God is Real and that He raised His Son Jesus from the dead 3 days after He was crucified so that all believers could follow Him upon their life's journey end here on this Earth.
Just because it is April Fool's day, don't become one, Take the Time to Listen to the preacher this Sunday, with your heart and not just your ears...for you never know when your earthly clock will stop ticking...
Luke 12:20 - But God said unto him, [Thou] fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
To be a Believer and to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ gives you a Living Hope, a Hope that no man can take from you, a Hope that offers Christians a light at the end of the tunnel, a Hope that brings with it God's Glory, God's Mercy and God's Grace....a Hope that can Change a Holiday Only Christian to a Full Timer!
On this wonderful Easter morning, let me pray for you that your heart will open to the Holy Spirit's call, that you will bend your knees and confess to God your sins, that you call out for the forgiveness that only He can offer, and that as you receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you reach out and touch someone else, and share the story of Easter.....the day of Resurrection of Christ...God Bless!
