Another Burris Fastfire Question

Can you still use the factory bead on your gun for a shot if something goes wrong with the Fastfire?

Secondly, I am shooting a Benelli SBE II.  I am debating between using a Weaver 93 scope base versus a EWG Picatinny rail mount. Is one better than the other?  Can I remove the Fastfire leaving the base or rail attached and still use my factory bead for deer or duck hunting?

I am leaning towards the EWG rail. Any suggestions as the best place to purchase?

I can see the beads on all my guns if I take off the FF, even with the base still on.

I also carry a bore sight to double check the FF before each hunt.  If I have time to sight in, fine, if not, take it off and shoot open sights.

I prefer the Picatinny mount over the Weaver 93, more slots, and no hang-over.

Most of the EWG's I saw were out of stock, so I went with a Weaver #48339, and they are hard to find right now.

With the b-square mount you can see your bead with the sight on the gun.

How bout a speed bead for your SBE II ?    If battery dies, you can still use bead on barrell !!        :smiley-char092:
