Florida Public land birds?

Need some advice on hunting some florida public land birds. Ganna try it this weekend with a friend, heres what im working with. There are very large oak hammocks that i'm sure see alot of pressure and there is alot of large and small cypress swamps near firebreaks that are more remote. My question is where might the birds be? I scouted the oak hammocks eàrlier inthe season and saw birds, but not so much now. Would they have moved from this area due to pressure? Any thought? Thanks, john.

the "low hanging fruit" or easy gobblers near roads or where people are , are most likely killed off on the first week of the season , or most likely killed off years ago - I make it a point never to hunt popular spots   

You need to look for habitat far, far from people - Im talking 3-4 miles from the nearest road - good things dont come easy - lazy Florida hunters don't kill many if any turkeys -

I used a bike whenever possible. You can get away from a lot of hunters and cover a lot of country fast using a bicycle.

Florida turkeys love cypress trees.

Get as far away as possible.  Your firebreaks have probably been hit already.  If you can get to them easily, ie. firebreak, they're not "that" far away.

Thanks Blackmagic, i will get on Google satellite again and see what i come up with.  unfortunately i think every cypress head has a fire break that passes by, i'll just have to hump it farther then anybody else would be willing. thanks for the help.
