Youth weekend score !

I hunted with my nephew Cole Saturday for the youth hunt and we were able to connect on a jake. We only heard 1 roost gobble and got another bird to answer my pot call around 9am but he shut down on us. Finally at 4pm a crow sounded off and 2 birds gobbled prob 60 yards from us. We quickly got set up and hit them with some soft calling. After a lengthy strutting display the 1st bird finally closed the distance and he piled him up. This was Cole's 1st turkey and only his third ever turkey hunt. His bird went 15lbs 7oz and had a full gobble. We went fishing at a farm pond Sunday morning and he hooked up with a nice sow bass sitting on a bed. So was full of eggs so we quickly released her after a couple pics. Over all a great weekend !
