hey guys im new here but have been reading posts on here for a while. im shootin a mossy 935 24" barrel. ive always used the I.C. 675 with great results. last year i got a great oppurtunity to be on the staff of a hunting show in the making.Rockwell Outdoors. they gave me a bunch of awesome stuff from their sponsors. one thing was a kicks gt 680.i have to retire the I.C. and use the kicks for any filmed hunts. My ? is what 10 ring numbers should i expect with my deep cleaned mossy 935 with 3.5 mag blends thru the kicks 680.ive been usin mag blends since they came out with great results thru the I.C. 675.i shot both tubes last week with win lead 3.5 2oz 5s and got 140 in the ten with the kicks and 143 with the I.C. basically the same.can i expect equal results thru both tubes with the mag blends?

Well the patterns should be closer to 250 I would think with the Mag Blends out of your 935.  The Indian Creek ,675 I would say would have the slight edge due to the fact it's more toward the magical exit diameter that the Moss 835 and 935 bores like to be shot at with a lot of loads.  But the Mag Blends may shoot better out of the slightly more open Kicks .680 choke.  Only one way to find out.  Good luck.

Thanks brad.ive been reading posts on here for quite a while and have read a ton of ur posts.U seem to be the OG expert on anything mossy 835/935. yea i think your right i should get 230-250 numbers with mag blends with the kicks. the 140s numbers i posted were with win supreme 3.5 2oz 5s.your right about only one way to find out. i will pattern with mag blends as soon as the weather gets better.dont want to waste a $5 shell when its 35 degrees.patterned mag blends last yr with the I.C. it did great but i just got into counting the 10 ring so i dont know what the count was outta the I.C.i think ill just send a few mag blends thru the kicks and see how it does cause i gotta use it for filmin.i dont think ill be disapointed. awesome forum here @ OG.glad to be apart of it.thanks again brad im sure ill pick your brain about the mossys again in the future

I forgot to welcome you to Old Gobber.   :wagon:

And trust me I am no expert.  Clark is a heck of a lot smarter than I as well as are some others here.  But I will agree I am more specialized in the 835 realm due to the fact I have played with one for about 15 yrs now or so.  I don't shoot like I used to, but I still try and experiment when I can.  I have shot quite a few chokes through the 835 and have found a few that seem to work better than others.

Good luck.

I will definately post my results. I think im going to polish the barrel on the mossy and my 20 ga 870 before i do my patterning this year.ive read alot about it on here and everyone seems to see improvements from what ive read.any tips on the polishing? i plan on following the instuctions here on OG. yea i love my 935 too. ive got the waterfowl combo with the 24" and 28" smoothbore barrels.i havent had any problems with it and its the best patterning gun ive seen with my eyes.most guys i know in my area dont really experiment much with chokes and loads they just use the turkey choke they have and use lead turkey loads. nothin wrong with that they kill birds no problem but i like to try different loads and see whats gonna give me the best pattern. like they say your only gonna shoot your gun a few times per season id rather spend $5 a shell on hevi shot and know im gonna knock him down even if i misjudge the distance.
