Self camo jobs/ clear coat finish issues.

Ive done several self camo jobs on various guns and really like the outcome of the camo job.But Im having an issue with the clear cote from the can. Im using the flat krylon acrylic. I wind up with a gun that at times is tacky feeling at times and Im talking about much later after the gun is finished..
Has anyone tried the Alumahyde2 paint/ clear coat from Brownells???
