No Decoys

I hunted with decoys last year, about every Hunt, Only hunted 6 times though? And I think they cost me Birds, I will take them but leave them in my pack, and try Opening Day and week without decoys. And I also will do with out my Blind 2, I like hunting From the Blind also but want to get back to The Basic's this year 2013. I am so Ready for season to start, I am planing on starting my season early and Going down and hunting the Farm In Ky, and then come home and Wait a 2 weeks and Hunt at Home. I want to go down to the NWTF in Nashville, I went 2 years ago and it was a Good time.

The NWTF convention is a whole lot of fun. Congrat's on you getting back to the basics. I am not againest blinds and dekes. But I love to run and gun. It is just to much work to bring the blinds and deks into the woods. I am getting to0 old to lug all that stuff into the woods. Hope you ge to go to the NWTF Convention. You will enjoy it. Bring plenty of money cause it is hard not to want to take a few new turkey calls home with ya.

I know where your coming from as I did more run-n-gun hunting last year than I have for years.  Grabbed the 20 gauge and just went.  Felt darn near naked after packing everything I do when I bowhunt gobblers.
It's all good no matter which style one chooses.  Have fun satisfy yourself as that's all that matters at the end of the day anyway.  Good luck this spring....GSLAM95
