Old Gobbler

Anyone know some information on the New "Ruger American" Bolt Action Rifle in .308 ? I am contemplating picking one up, The price of these is too much for me -$400 to pass up on  --Shannon

I don't know much about that particular gun. I've seen it advertised everywhere. If its anything like other rugers I've owned or shot, its definitely worth the money. It's probably gonna be the next rifle I buy.

Got the M77 52 in .257 Roberts. I love it.

That's a pretty gun red... I think that is the best rifle for the $$$ on the market right now!

Thats actually a stock photo,but mine looks exactly like it with a 6x Weaver scope.I think it was replaced by the Hawkeye,and now the American.

Shannon, i just got it in 270 caliber about a month ago. havent shot it yet. Its not to bad. I own a couple M77s so I trust Ruger rifles. Its a value gun. The trigger is nice and crisp. The stock is an almost exact replica of the savage axis....which i did own in 308 and just sold about 2 weeks ago. On the savage it shot great, no recoil.

I have not shot that gun but know people who have and they are very high on it. Everything I hear is very positive and it's truly a value.
