Spalted Hickory

I just started building this Gibson, so far all that is done to it is hollowed out and shaped. It's a tree from my yard that I cut down and saved a few pieces for calls. I've done no tuning or sanding to it, just dropped a blackwood lid on it, and she wants to play. It has a high pitch with a raspy breakover, so far. First time using hickory for the box.  We will see how it tunes out and finishes?
