Honda Foreman Indicator/Display Lights and Battery question

I have a 2005 Honda Foreman with an original battery.  I haven't had a chance to ride it since probably March or April.  I went to start it up yesterday and the battery was almost gone and would not start with electric start, so I started it with the pull cord.

I assume if the battery is low, the Indicator/Display lights can come on and stay on?  My oil temp light was on right from start up and also the 4wd light was on and blinking.  I put the charger on it and went out this morning and was able to start it right away with the electric start and the 4wd light was no longer on.  I gave it a little gas and the oil temp light was on faintly.  I believe the battery needs to be replaced, as the charger did not show that it was completely charged, but charged enough to start it.  As I mentioned, the battery is from 2005 when I bought the atv.

I did not have time to run it around, just let it idle and as I mentioned, the oil temp light would barely light when I hit the throttle.  I put the battery back on the trickle charger and will check it again later, plus oil level, air flow, etc.

Change the battery. 7 years on something generally made to last 3-4 years is pretty good.

You all were right, it was the battery.  When I got home, the charger light was finally green after charging all day and the lights are working correctly.  Even though the charger said the battery was full, I think it's time for a new one or it will be very soon.  I plan on keeping it on a tender while it isnt being used now.  Thanks for the replies.
