Just wondering if anyone on here has ever got a paten on the design of a pot call !

Do you mean "patent"?

Pot calls have been around a long time, so there is a lot of "prior art" and design and function features that are "obvious."  Those things are in the public domain and would cannot establish patent exclusivity on them.  But I suppose that there could be novel features that one could develop that would qualify for a design or utility patent.

I would think its going to have to be really different.

But the good news is prior art will mean nothing soon as it will be first to patent that gets it from what I learned. Of course its bad it it was your idea and you did not have the $ to move forward.  Your going to have to move on it or keep your mouth shut from here moving forward.
