Chokes vs Boat props???

I've torn up my share of props on my boat and will tear more up before too long. On my boats, the same as my turkey guns, I play with different wheels to get the best performance out of them.  Every time I replace a prop it never performs the same as the prior one, even though it is the same make, model, size, and pitch. I always think getting a good prop has more to do with luck and black magic than math and science. Now on to turkey chokes, I own a few different chokes for a few different guns, but I have never tried two of the same make, model and restriction on the same gun.  If you have, is there a difference or is the performance the same?  I would think it should be the same, but would not be shocked if it wasn't.

Only choke I have ever owned two of was a pair of Kicks .660's for a pair of 835's that my son and I used to use for card shoots.  Never shot turkey shells out of them but with low brass #8's they performed pretty much the same between each other and which ever gun they were in.

This interesting . I have not tried it but like to see some responces also .

Agreed!   Finding the best prop for you boat is similar to finding the best gun/choke/load combo for hunting.

When you think about it, the propeller is the only thing that connects you to the water and it effects every possible detail of how your boat gets out of the hole, accelerates, top speed and its handling manners.

I have a Mercury Marine A45 Trophy 25p that I run on my Champion 221 bass boat with a 225 Mercury EFI outboard.      I had it professionally blueprinted with some cup added to the blade tips.   I picked up almost 3 mph, and the prop is so much smoother now.
