Your nephew is a lucky young man indeed, good luck this fall  :icon_thumright:

Slamman, Great looking bull. Someday I hope to take all my BPoints and come hunt your beautiful state. Just need to figure out which unit. Obviously the ones I am applying for now I might never draw.

What unit's are you applying for and its it rifle or archery?

All archery. Started out trying for 9 and after a few years realized that dream would never happen. Changed to depending on the year 3a/3c or 10. Now realize that if I ever want to hunt I had better switch to something in the 4 to 6 range with maybe a 7w if I get lucky. It will probably be a once in a lifetime hunt now that I am 55 so I guess I can wait a few more years for a better unit.

how many bonus points do you have?  it normally takes six or seven so don't give up on your prime units.  I live in 3b, unit 3c and 1 border me.  we have two tags in 3a/ 3c one archery early bull and one rifle early bull so i can help you there.  we also have two early archery bull tags in 1 (i'm spread pretty thin this year)and one archery early bull in 6a or 6b can't remember i can at least let you know how that hunt goes even though i'm not helping on that one.  most of my camera's right now are in unit one and i'm unable to access unit 3a/3c due to fire danger so when that opens up i'll be able to put camera's there.  don't put in for 7m.  3a/3c can have some monster bulls in it. be patient and keep in touch and lets talk about the next draw.

i put in for my first every archery hunt two years ago and was drawn for 3b i was lucky enough to take a nice 330-340 bull and was my most memorable hunt.

I have 8 points now. As a non-resident it will take at least 4 to 8 more for some of the trophy units. Everyone keeps telling me that there are trophy animals in all the units so don't get to attatched to the big name units. I feel that I will only get one chance so I better make it count. My goal is to kill a bull in the 350 class or atleast have the opportunity to draw my bow back on something of that caliber. Congrats on a great first archery kill (340). Most people don't get one that size in a lifetime. Of all the bulls I have killed none have come close to that, but they have all been in an over the counter unit in CO. Good luck with all your tags and post up some pics of your monsters that you get and I will do the same of the dink that I hope to kill in CO.
