Sorry I am late Today. On vacation. fishing is good! Using an IPad, so pardon the lack of punctuation.
Adapted from Spurgeon.
Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 Tim 2:1
Christ has grace without measure in Himself, but Hehas not retained it for Himself. as a reservoir empties itself into pipes for our use, so has Jesus emptied out His grace for His people. Of His fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.
He stands like a fountain, always flowing, supplying the water of life to the empty pitchers of our souls. grace, whether it's His work to pardon, to cleanse, to preserve, to strengthen, to enliven, to enlighten, to restore, is always available to us free to us.
the more we receive grace from Jesus, and more constantly recognize it as coming from Him, we shall behold Him in communion with us, and enjoy His companionship.
Let us make daily use of our riches, ever coming to Him, taking from Him the supplies of all we need, with as much boldness as we take money out of our wallets!
