This is definitely an area that greatly concerns me. I listen to American Family Radio Talk often while at work. They basically present the events of the day from a Biblical viewpoint. They share a lot of things that the big 3 TV networks won't touch, and give a much different angle on many of the big newsmaking issues. Too much of it can get overwhelming to me.
I sometimes get caught up in the complaining mode rather than the praying mode, and complaining won't get anything accomplished.
I heard someone on the radio this weekend talking about the days after 9/11. Even politicians were asking American people to pray. Just like in our personal lives, it often takes a tragedy or great trial to bring us to our knees, to get us to focus on God as our provider. If we as Christians don't begin to exercise our rights to pray, to seek and to worship God, we may find ourselves losing even those freedoms.
Thanks for your post.
