I was curious as to the evidence or suspicion of fisher (Martes pennanti) predation on turkeys. I live in Eastern West Virginia, and the fisher population seems to be expanding as they are not uncommon in the least. I have found that many believe fisher are only found at higher elevations, however, this is not the case. I've heard a weasel or mink would go right in the hen house to prey on chickens, why wouldn't a fisher go out on a tree limb to get a turkey?
