I actually thought I was done hunting for the year. But on my way between jobs I noticed a strutter in a very bad spot (for him). I new I could sneak up to gun range easily. Well I called the second job and let them know I would be late, grabbed the gear still tossed around the truck and off I went. Got to my desired location but as it always happens the birds moved off. I set up and got the calls out. A soft yelp, some clucks and a kee kee and I shut up. Took 10min for the hes to move my way bring the tom along.
Well I went to my side job and the owner and kids loved the turkey and wanted feathers. I forgot about the picture and lets say after they got there feathers it was not a pretty sight. I kind of regret no pics, but how many pics of turkeys does one need?
