My buddy and I traveled to the allegheny national forest and state park along ny/pa border and hunted both states. It's been tough 4 out of 6 days with hearing a gobble. I did find one at 1130 on the first day that wanted to play the game. 18 lbs 1.25" spurs and a pencil thin 7" beard

Congrats on a good bird. I really like the little cabin. Do you rent them from the park?

We stayed at the Willow Bay campgrounds ...cabins were 50 a night not bad when you split it with buddies. It's right on the boarder so it was easy to do both states

Pretty good idea. Looks like it paid off. Those big woods birds can be tough in PA. Congrats.
