Have you ever got caught by a gobbler and his hens and still ended up bagging that bird later that same day?

Yep, doesn't take them long to forget a soft bump. I had a coyote chase a gobbler and his hens a few days ago, they flushed in every direction as he charged them,. Sat in the tree for less than 20 minutes and flew back down where he promptly got shot.
Give them a short while to settle down, reposition, and kill that turkey

Yes, bumped 2 longbeards in a pine plantation one morning. Went a little later to an adjacent field and called them right in.

Several times I have busted them off the roost, when they would be with hens. If a gobbler has a bunch of hens I will walk right in on them and fly them all over the place. Thin call the gobbler back and kill him. Works good if you know a gobbler is roosting with a bunch of hens or a mixed flock.

I bumped two hens off of the roost last week. He gobbled directly under them. I was on the ridge above them. He turned and went back the way he had come from. I ran back, got set up and gave a few soft yelps on a trumpet. 5 minutes later, it was all over. My first Rio in the bag.
No trees were hurt in the sending of this message, however a large number of electrons were highly inconvenienced.

Happened more times than I can count...
