So a guy is getting out of his truck at a WMA in preperation for a turkey hunt. Another hunter sees him walking across the parking lot and says,.."hey, I see you have a motion decoy,...don't you think that's cheating? You should be a true sportsman and use a stationary decoy like me." Nope. "It's legal and it works well for me." "besides, I see you have a gun,...when you get better at hunting, you should advance to bagging one with a bow, like me." Another hunter overhears them and says,..."I couldn't help but overhearing you guys. If you want a real challenge you should hunt without a decoy." Then another hunter corrects him,..."sure it's easy to get one with no decoy when you are using a blind like that double bull you're carrying." Then they all notice a guy walking by that is in a pair of overalls and a white t-shirt. "what the heck are you doing?" they asked. "I'm turkey hunting!. Except I don't think you all are very sportsman-like. I don't use no fancy camouflage,,...that's way too easy. I also NEVER use a decoy. Blinds are really cheating and should be illegal. I only use this recurve bow with hand carved hickory arrows and hand made fletching. Them fancy store bought calls ain't too fair either. I only use my natural voice. That is how a TRUE turkey hunter does things! You all should be ashamed of yourselves."
They all hung their heads in silence for a moment until the first hunter finally says,.."well I gotta admit,...you are a TRUE sportsman, hunting turkeys the way you do. How many do you get hunting like that?" "Well",..he replied. "I ain't never got a turkey yet,...but at least I sleep welll at night!"
