Hello, folks. I'm new to the forum and turkey hunting. This is my first post. Even though I've hunted, mainly bowhunted, most of my life, at the ripe old age of 52, I turkey hunted for the first time this year. I decided if I was going to do this, I ought to learn as much as possible, so I went to the Turkey Hunting School at Westervelt Lodge. I got to meet Eddie Salter and Tom Kelly. It was great. I've also learned a lot from this site. Some of the things learned are this is another way to spend money, this is habit-forming, and the automatic reply to non-residents is "There are no turkeys in Alabama".
I have a question for the Benelli guys/gals. I have a Benelli M2 Field that was purchased for turkey hunting. It is one of the models that is not drilled and tapped for a scope mount. I've read where different folks recommend that this receiver not be drilled and tapped. The reasons most often given is the material thickness in this area. I would like to have some type of sight on this gun.
I noticed an add for the Burris SpeedBead. The question is: Does anybody have experience with the Speedbead, or other type of sight, on this particular gun? Any feedback is appreciated.
