Been wanting one of these for some time now, for duck hunting , so nobody finds my spots   , it reduces muzzle blast - It adds 3 foot to you barrel

They are normally $250 and up - these are $97

Shannon, I've never heard of such.  Heck, you don't even need to shoot your shells, just swat them out of the sky with that extra 3 feet of barrel.
People who don't get it, don't get that they don't get it.

If I recall correctly, I think you have to shoot extremely low velocity shells for those to work right.

They work best with sub sonic loads

Speed of sound at sea level is supposedly 1116.13 feet per second

The published fps of H13 is 1080 fps

I have had some very good "secret " duck spots go bad because of too much shooting , this would help substantially

I remember seeing a magazine article about ten years ago about how to make one. I believe it was by L. P. Brenzy, don't remember what magazine, Outdoor Life maybe.

I believe that it was about 2000 or 2001 when Jay Menefee brought one of those to the World Championship Still target shoot in Forsythe, GA. Those were the days when many of the choke makers like Charlie Boswell and George Trulock came to those events. Hastings, as I recall, had just received approval from the ATF to market those barrels. They had to get a ruling that they were not silencers. We shot for 3 days back then from early morning until about 6:00 p.m. but during the lunch break and at the end of the day, we had an opportunity to try some "new stuff" like that barrel or some new shells. That barrel was a very hot topic then. I had not seen or heard of one for many years but amazingly enough, I was just talking with a friend who lives in Wisconsin last Saturday about them. They have a lot of urban geese that have become a problem and that was discussed as a possible solution.

Thanks,
Clark
