My season so far in pictures.

At the half way point of the season here is South Carolina and wanted to share how it is going for me so far in pictures.  The Lord has blessed me, but he always has.  Thanks!

Mississippi Bird (thanks to dirt road ninja for his kindness and hospitality!):
19.5 lbs, 9 7/8" beard, 7/8" spurs


SC Birds:

#1 19.75 lbs, 10 5/8" beard, 1 1/16" and 15/16" spurs
Did not get a picture better than this cause I was in a hurry to get back after them, regret that.


#2 17.25 lbs, 10" beard, 3/4" spurs


#3 19 lbs, 11.25" beard, and 1.25" spurs


#4 17.5 lbs, 10 3/4" beard, 15/16" and 1" spurs

Totally jealous!  We have short lottery seasons here in Minnesota and are only allowed to take 1 bird.  It's the same in Wisconsin, although you can get leftover tags there for late seasons.  I'm hoping to get one in each state.

Good luck, I hope you get a few extra tags.  In SC we get 5 tags to use in the state.  You can only kill 2 a day and there are a few counties that only allow 2 birds a year but there is more than enough state land to get your 5 birds across the state.

Thanks guys.  It was a great season for me.  Should have tagged out but because of a couple misses I am going to have to eat a tag.  Tomorrow is the last day and there is no way I can get out.  Good luck to those still hunting or those about to start hunting.  Have fun, but be safe!
