Weather Effect Turkey's

I was wondering How Much the weather effects Turkey, Like cool Morning's, Lite Rain, Storming, I know there Calling for Lows in the 40's opening Morning here in Indiana, Partly Cloudy, Lite wind, High Temp 70. On Cold Morning do they stay in the Tree longer, or do they Move Earlier? How does The Barometer Effect Turkey? Like Say Rain, I would think they would Stay tight to cover during the Rain, and when it quits they would move to open Fields to help dry off. This is only my 3rd Season Turkey Hunting, And have Thousand of Question. But I guess the Best thing to do Is Get Out There and Hunt.

I tend to like still, cool mornings after a little warm spell or later in the season.

I also love to be in the woods as soon as a rain let's up. They can fire up between downpours and right after a hard rain.

This morning was a bit breezy and chilly with clouds,I walked in to where I heard them roost before,no dice, didnt hear one bird, didnt see one bird or hear any fly down.Did have three small bucks walk by,one was 10ft.

We've been battling wind and rain third season Iowa. It's been ambush mode. The birds don't talk. They are behind big ridges out of the wind ( 30 mph +) and not talking. TOUGH HUNTIN' SON!  p.s. The guy I was out with this afternoon took a 23# 10 inch beard, and 3/4 in spurred tom at 4:30pm.  It's not impossible.

Turkeys gobble the least when the wind is out of the east.
