The story behind this caller goes all the way to Virginia...via Ricky Burks, (vaturkey) let me know the the Sedalia Baptist Church have a men's ministry called the Fishers of Men, they had an Outdoor activity, including calling contests and FOOD....the winner of the calling contest won, one of my calls, any call he or she wanted, and the winner of the category chose to have me make a pot call with his son's picture of his turkey!!!!!! Not the father's but the son's, instead of this young man receiving the prize, he wanted it to go to his son!
So I did exactly that, created this pot call from Driftwood off the Mississippi River, it is a black lined wanut, with some fiddle back on the sides, a super nice piece of driftwood, the stand is also driftwood, pine I believe, and the striker is made from (store bought) purpleheart and the bell end is made from some Missouri Bog wood (oak) ,,,,,the call sounds good and I only hope the young man likes it. By the way, he can't see this, so I am going to send the father a call as a surprise, I have a long box that will knock his socks off...pappy
