My joking around goal this year was 70" of beard because I had 3 Nebraska , 2 PA and 2 Ohio tags . Well , I'm chipping away at that # .
8 days ago we arrived in Nebraska to chase some turkeys around . I killed 3 in 3 days there . The first one was about 19lb with a double beard , 8.25" and 2.5" and tiny spurs but it was a mature bird . The second was 19 1/2 lb with a 8 1/2" beard and 3/4" spurs . The 3rd was 20lbs with an 11 1/4" beard and 1 1/4" spurs .
Today , 8 days later back in my home state of PA I filled the first of 2 tags . 20lb with a 10 1/8" beard and 1 1/8" spurs !
I got 1 more PA tag and 2 Ohio tags yet to fill ! Come on 70"
