Bitter Sweet End to my NC Season

Short and sweet but I enjoyed every second of it! I ended it this morning with a great hunt that was over at 7:20, called in 2 birds and had a third one in sight strutting on the limb the whole time.. Another notch for the Cox Trumpet. Now time to do some calling for the wife to try to get her first bird, and go dig some ramps.. 10" beard 7/8" spurs

Congratulations! I did the same thing last year here in Eastern NC. Tagged out 8 days into the season. One bird on opening day and one bird a week later. It's a great feeling but you ask yourself, NOW What? I ended up calling and enjoying several hunts with my Buddies the last 3 weeks of the season. For you, you need to set your sights higher and get your wife her first TWO birds. Congratulations Again and Best of Luck getting your wife her first TWO birds!
