Perfect Kill zone

I have spent may years achery hunting, and also would attend a lot of 3D Bow shoots as a kid. Obviously with a Bow you are targeting the body, more precisly the vital organs. However with Shotgun hunting for turkeys I read that many aim for the head or the base of the neck, that also makes good since to me. So where do people aim most ofter, the Head or teh Base of the neck?

I hold on the waddles unless he's really close then I hold right below the head.

I put the red dot right above their waddles.  Seems to do the trick.

Mid range (15-35 yds) i hold for the wattles. Very close range more for center of the head (blowing all the neck feathers off tends to piss off your taxidermist!) When im stretching out my barrel to 40 plus, i hold for the top of his head. Pellets tend to drop a little and it also keeps your opening up pattern up away from the beard and chest.

If he's closer than 25 yards I place my crosshairs right on his head. Over 25 yards and I hold where the wattles meet the feathers.

The most important thing with shotgun hunting is to pattern your gun and know exactly where your shotgun/choke/ammunition choice, patterns at certain yardages so you have confidence in your shot and aiming point.

Depending on your guns Point of Impact and whether or not you are using adjustable iron sights or a scope/Red Dot etc. that allows you to change the point of impact....you may have to hold low/high etc.

Where I aim very possibly won't work for your setup.  The kill zone remains the same...head and neck.
