After deep cleaning ???

I used the Old Gobbler procedure to deep clean my barrel. My question is what do I do now after a few shots? I don't need to do that whole process again (I don't guess), so what do I do?

just run a bore snake thru the barrel a couple of times and you should be good to go.

I recommend brushing with a dry brush, followed by a patch with Hoppe's #9 over a brush, then a dry cotton patch over the brush. That usually has you ready to go.

That applies to a barrel that has been"deep cleaned".

So, would a clean bore snake with nothing on it but a little hoppes in about a 2-3 inch section half way between the bristles and the tail end suffice?

If you have a "deep cleaned" bore, using the procedure outlined in the article. "Cleaning a Shotgun Barrel" http://allaboutshooting.com/article_info.php?articles_id=282 then a bore snake (I like the new "Viper") will work.

If you have polished your bore, I recommend "deep cleaning" afterward to remove any possible polishing residue before patterning.
