Need some Advice guys!

Well I have went out 4 times this season and have been bested all 4 times! Opening morning everything went perfect except the gobblers flew down behind me about 15 yards and strutted instead of in front! The second time I could literally see the gobbler in the tree gobbling and left him on the limb at 11:00. (I got on him at 6:45). The third time I called in a group of 4 toms and all were strutting, but hung up at 75 - 90 yards in a creek bottom. Their ladies joined them then and they moved off! The fourth time I just was day dreaming when he strutted in and got caught with my gun in my lap.

How can I get those gobblers to commit? I am not calling a lot, just purring, clucking and scratching the leaves a bit. I would say calling every 10 minutes or so. Calling with a Crystal Freak pot and a Pappy's Long Box. I had the Pappy's last Sat. when I let the one walk by.

Any help would be appreciated!

My first suggestion would be to use one of the roll-up ground blinds about 3-4 feet in front of you.  Were you using decoys?  Set up a decoy or decoys at about 20 yards.  These 2 tips helped me capitalize on one of those day dreaming (actually dozing) moments a couple of years ago.  I fell asleep against a tree.  I had a good shade covering around me and the little die-cut blind set up in front of me.  I woke up to 3 gobblers strutting around my decoys at 20 yards.  The shade and the blind allowed me to raise my gun from my lap without getting busted by 3 sets of eyes. 
You can pick the blinds up from Wing Supply, Cabelas, Bass Pro and most Wal-Marts this time of year for under $20.  They fit easily in the pouch on the back of most vests.  These also allow you to move your legs a bit (more important when you start getting older and less limber) as needed without getting busted.

Yep , decoys could help you seal the deal. Maybe a strutting Jake dek will make the boss get mad enough to commit. Sounds like you are into birds for sure so try some deks and be patient, it will happen.
