Hey guys, been lurking for a while. So much great info on here! I have a quick question.  Im hunting 2300acers, lots of pines, hard woods and some food plots. I only see birds in the open fields / food plots after 3 or 4 olcock. Why is this?

They been politickin' all moanin' and they hongry. Watch the birds to see if they exit the fields in a certain spot and be there next time you see them out in the fields.

Good luck  :anim_25:

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

The birds I hunt in SW MS hit the food plots after 11. I see way more birds in the woods. Do you have cameras out? Maybe they are there early and you don't see them. I've hadn't had much luck hunting plots in the morning. I think our birds do the vast majority of their strutting and breeding in clean bottoms and ridges. Once they break up around lunch you'll see a few in plots feeding.

thanks for the replies.  Hunted a food plot last night and got busted walking in at about 2 o'clock.
