Mossberg 9200

My Father in law is looking fo a gun to turkey hunt with and possibly hunt other game. I found a used Mossberg 9200 NWTF edition for $225. My local gun shop has a 870 Super Mag all black new for $369. I dont buy and sell guns much so could you give me you opinion on these 2 deals. Thanks

Whatever you do, DON'T BUY THE 9200!!! That gun was the biggest piece of crap that Mossberg ever made. Been there done that, NEVER AGAIN!

As far as single shots go I think you can buy a lighter, cheaper single shot than the 9200.

I received one as a gift, it was a real piece. I had it for maybe 2 months. I hated it.

You can get a new 26" barrel, camoed,  870 Super Mag from Wal-Mart for approx 350.  I know wal mart isn't a "gun shop" but I know a few people who have them and they are good guns for the money

I will agree with Al.  I have seen the 9200 in action.  Save yourself the misery.
