I am helping with the Conservation Club in our middle school and we are looking for a way to raise some money so we can do activities.  So far, we have taken the kids ice fishing which is cheap but would like to do other activities.  We are trying to think of projects that would make money for the club.  So far, we are thinking of making bird houses and selling them or having an old computer/TV drive.  Do you have any ideas?  Thanks a lot.

There is a church that has a kids clothing sale.  Each person is responsible for hanging every piece of clothing on a hanger, shoes paired in a ziplock bag.  Each labeled some way.  Then list given to church with the clothes.  The church then gets 30% of all money collected.  The church runs the sale.  They then give the money to the person that gave the clothes.  Things are cheap as well, the clothes are not over priced.

Car wash is big, but have to wait until summer.  Bake sales.  If you can get candy bars, our PTA is selling them and is getting 50 cents for every $1 made.  How about a 3D archery shoot?  Is there a 3D range around that would let you use their range and let you have 90% or something.

You could do a raffle of some sort.  One of the school clubs got an outfitter to donate a turkey hunting trip.  Gun raffles are always popular but nowadays you cant even say gun in school.  I'm sure sporting goods stores would donate prizes or give them to you at cost.  Just a thought.  :anim_25:

we are not allowed raffles in our schools...as its a FORM OF GAMBLING according to the district....

are you looking to do a one day type thing (bake sale, car wash) etc...of something over time (store type selling, candy bar sales, etc)

I don't know what you time frame is, but how about having a sponsored stream clean-up-a-thon.. Have the students get people and companies to sponsor them for so much for every hour that they spend cleaning up a local stream. Take the class out on a Saturday with plenty of supplies and supervision. Make sure that the local media is notified for good press.

Just a thought.

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

I started an NASP archery club at my HS in NYS and we solicited from local conservation/hunting clubs and the NWTF.
We also hosted a 3D shoot at my club and made quite a nice starter pot of cash.
Set up a raffle on this site for a turkey hunt/ gear whatever,  and the proceeds will be a cash donation, then.
It's for youth conservation, not a charity. Conservation clubs should be rolling over to help you.
Send me a message with your school name, your name, etc. and I'll make a motion that my club make a donation. No promises, and I'll verify all the info, but I'll do my best,
