Deep cleaning does not involve chucking up anything in a drill, that's polishing.

The "deep cleaning" process uses Hoppe's #9 and a brush to scrub the bore. It's the combination of the scrubbing (by hand) and the chemical action of the Hoppe's #9 over time, that removes the "gunk" from the bore. There is no use of a brush and drill in that process.
