Got my 870 SM throwing 100+ in the ten @ 40yds with LEAD

Shooting Winchester Supreme High Velocity 3.5" 6's

at a taped 40yds, 101 with a Jellyhead .660 and 101 with a Kicks GT .665
The Kicks threw a much more uniform and the Jellyhead had a bit more open voids.

I think if I can get my hands on some Winchester XX 6's, I might improve a bit more
with the extra 1/4 oz. of shot.

I shot mine today with winchester high velocity #6 and got 110 in a 12" circle at 40 yards. Not a ten but hey whats 2". Gonna polish my barrel and give her another try. Hoping to get 150 with lead. That would be just enough for me to never look at hevi again lol

Thats impressive with 5's!  Mossbergs seem to pattern larger shot better than remmys do.

id never hesitate if i have 100 in a 10 as im putting the shot in the poa, i have a remmy that shoots only rem nitros and put about 90 in the 10 but its very tight around the head im tickled to death,,i have learned in the years of going with out a gun you cant give that tom time to second chance the hunter,,,,,,,
