First fish of the year

Hit a local pond for an hour today and as luck would have it I ended up w/7 nice bass from about 12" - 17".   Hit all but 1 in a spot about 20ft wide, using small jigs and moving it slow....   Too bad I wasn't where I could have kept a few for a fish fry!   

My buddy ended up w/1, so it was fun razzing him and what an absolutely BEAUTIFUL sunny day!   





I am going to have to try it next weekend for a fish fry!  Good luck if you are out and about.

i envy all who have had time to get out and fish!  Nice job, congrats.

No pictures, but we had a 10 year old with specila needs on the ice with us this weekend and he caught a 19" bass on a tip up with no help.  It was his first time ice fishing.  He carried it around like a football all day.  Slime head to toe.
