Found a Mad Max Choke in .665 for Invector + and was thinking that might be a good combo for Hevi 3.5-2.25-7's. It says lead only and was wanting to get some opinions on it. Do you think its safe to shoot hevi out of?

Thanks Roy

If it says lead only thats what I would stick with.  I did have a mad max II that shot a great pattern out of a 26" 935 with federal FC 3.5" 2.25oz #6's at 40 yards I would get around 190-200 pellets in the 10" all day.

Roy.

For years I shot the Old Mad Max choke in my 11-87. It loves the old clear hulled hevi shells. I can put 202 in a ten with #5 shot throught it. I found one several years ago for the father in-laws 870 super mag. If blisters the traget with the hevi 3.5 2 1/4 oz shot. I think I gave 16.00 for his choke on line.

Here is a pic of what my 11-87 did with the Mad Max

Don't gobble at me...

And I believe Indian Creek made the MAD Max chokes.

Yes you can shoot Hevi-13 loads thru the Mad Max chokes.  I'm almost positive that Stuart at Indian Creek told me they made the MAD Max chokes for MAD.

Here's how the MAD Max .680 choke I bought off of gunbroker shot.  Cost me like $25 shipped.

All the info is on the cardboard.

Thanks Brad.  Do you think .665 in Invector+ is too tight for the Hevi 7"s. Shooting a Browning BPS. Forcing Cone lengthened to 5" and barrel is polished.

I would say that ought to be great combination.  You won't know unless you try.  Typically .675 seemed to be about idea for 6 shot on the .742 Browning bores.  And I would say .670 would have worked, too.  But those 7's can probably stand to be squeezed a little tighter.  Let me know how it works.  With that lengthened forcing cone, you may just have a smoking combination there.
