I have an 11-87 SPT with the iron sights and wish to put a Fastfire on it.  Can you see iron sights through the small glass window?  Does one interfere with the other?
Anyone tried this yet?
Be the type of person your dog thinks you are.

It would all depend on how high the mount for the fast fire puts the window on the sights. The rear sight might get in the way of the red dot on the fast if it sits to low on the gun. However if it sits high on the gun then the mount may block your view of the iron sights.

On ARs they have mounts that co-witness the iron sights and are designed that way so you may want to have someone measure the height of the Burris mount and then measure the height of the iron sights to get a good idea of how it will effect your sights.

I've got a old 11-87 in greenleaf that i bought in 95. It is also th SPTurkey. I will start by saying that i love this little short barrel gun. Mounted a FastFire last year. I used the B-Square mount and on my gun and there is just enough room on the mount below the dot to see the Gobble Dots. After using it on several hunts last year i would have to say that seeing the old sights will never be a issue. No complaints whatso ever with the FastFire.... Great sighting system, wish i had one of the Bird protectors tho, they were sold on Old Gobbler for awhile and may still be, Good luck and hope this helps make your decision
