Early gobbles

Already hearing birds gobbling in northern WV. Wonder if the warm winter and lack of snow will lead to early breading and tough hunting come April.

I think you will be ok.  That will be good hunting if all the hens are nesting or tied up.  I don't think the gobblers will give up.  Jmho.

I've been hearing gobbles and watching strutters for two weeks now. This is either going to be the best or worst season ever, time will tell. Definitely real early for all this to be starting.

It happens quite a bit in so cal,and it always seems that turkeys are absolutly done gobbling and breeding in the first week of the season. Its been hot since january so We will have to see this season. Hope I can still score a gobbler this year.

I'm in Buckhannon!!

I don't think they'll gobble out.  We'll get some colder weather and it will turn the gobble off and it'll pick back up when the days get longer and warmer again in March/April.  Our season is so late, it really doesn't matter, we are at the end of the gobbling anyway.

Hens become receptive due to photoperiod (amount of daylight). Warm weather isn't going to make them receptive earlier.
