Hello everyone.  I have been reading a good bit on here over the last few days and there is a ton of info here.  This season i will be using two guns.  First I have a maxus i just bought and have ordered the hevi 13 choke for it.  I already have a couple boxes of magnum blend i plan on trying but now i am also going to try a box of hevi 13 #7 (all 3.5 inch).  My second gun will be mossberg 835.  I currently have a truglo by Bansner's (695).  It has done very well with winchester 2oz. #5 (3.5) but i am going to try both the mag. blend and #7.  Will this be a good choke for those loads?  If not what suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

You never know until you pull the trigger on those loads. My old 835 that my stepdad has now for a back up is running a Mad Max and it is a beast with most anything. Some like Pure Golds, everybody seems to like Star Dots. Indian Creek, Jelly Head, PG, Rhino - any of these are just about golden from what I have seen in the Mossy 835's.

Shoot the Truglo and see.

The truglo has worked great with lead loads but I am switching to either the mag. blends or #7's and i haven't seen a whole lot on here about the truglo.  I cant find the 7's anywhere locally.  I am going to hopefully pattern both guns tomorrow.  I guess I will know more then.  What should I be expecting with 3.5 mag blend in both guns and would be considered "good"?

I am not really able to answer that question as I haven't shot H13 Magblends. I know from what I have seen here that in 3.5" you should see 200+ with magblends and 250+ with straight 7's. I am not sure about the combos you will be trying, but anything 175+ in a 10" is my new standard. That is what I am shooting for with my new gun. Wiggle room at 20 yards and still VERY effective at 40+.

I will be shooting the maxus with hevi 13 choke and 835 with the truglo. Both with mag blend and i might try some of my lead loads just to see how they compare.
